Probably the best channel for historical battles 👍👍👍
What strikes me about such battles in Antiquity, is how environmentally-friendly they are, whence compared to modern warfare.
Roman Empire would have lasted longer if they instituted a merit based military systems. Valens and his brother are morons for their decision making skills. I’m not entirely certain why Rome never scaled their imperial succession down to the very basic military units. It’s exactly what led to it being conquered by multiple hosts.
