IXV gets ready to fly

Soon, IXV – Europe’s Intermediate Experimental Vehicle – will be launched into space on a Vega launcher from Europe’s Spaceport in Kourou, French Guiana. A short but crucial mission to advance Europe’s ambition to return autonomously from space.

  1. What's with the over-spirited competition "European" vs. "Russian" tech, why not earthen tech? The Human Species Space Organization Tech or something. Hell, this "Lets be /TheFirst/" mentality kinda deludes the endeavor as a whole does it not? Must We really take our ego into space? Isn't that why we I dunno -War.
