Replay of Vega liftoff VV04 with IXV
Replay of the liftoff of Vega VV04 with ESA’s Intermediate eXperimental Vehicle, IXV, launched from Kourou, French Guiana on 11 February 2015.
IXV was launched 340 km into space atop a Vega rocket, VV04, from Kourou in French Guiana on 11 February 2015. After separation from Vega, IXV coasted to 412 km before beginning a punishing glide back through the atmosphere. During its autonomous flight, IXV tested the latest technologies and critical systems to extend Europeβs capability for space exploration.

All 3 stages are solid – that is very brave indeed.
I get amazed on how this is almost an exact copy of the Orbital Taurus XL rocket. At least the the launch pad is different. Β https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=be5ukUtu8mg
I would venture to guess that incredible speed of this vehicle is due to using a solid rocket first stage. Am I wrong?
What do you use as first stage? Is it a solid rocket booster or a liquid rocket?
VEGA ARE AN ITALIAN PRODUCT BY AVIO COLLEFERRO (ROME)!
This rocket isn't European. It's Italian
Is that a SRB or am I just retarded?
man i wonder how much Gs the craft pulled during launch
Keep going
Beautiful launch πππ
13 SUCCESFULL LAUNCHS IN 13 TOTAL LAUNCHS.. ITALIAN QUALITY!!!
Why dont use a camera to whatch the whole thing?
It wouldn't take many modifications to turn the Vega rocket into an ICBM.
I love that they are so calm, they are professional interested and seemingly knowledgeable. Non of that football stadium spectating just professional, love it.
