Hmmmmm, who's missing I wonder?
"We?ve taken giant leaps and left our mark in the heavens." Or so claims NASA!
But we read this in Genesis 11:4 – 9 "Then they said, ?Come, let us build ourselves a city and a tower with its top in the heavens, and let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be dispersed over the face of the whole earth. And the Lord came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of man had built. And the Lord said, ?Behold, they are one people, and they have all one language, and this is only the beginning of what they will do. And nothing that they propose to do will now be impossible for them. Come, let us go down and there confuse their language, so that they may not understand one another's speech.? So the Lord dispersed them from there over the face of all the earth, and they left off building the city. Therefore its name was called Babel, because there the Lord confused the language of all the earth. And from there the Lord dispersed them over the face of all the earth.?
So that was a time long ago when mankind had that aspiration to reach the heavens but failed when their one language was confused and thus their project aborted and they did disperse to what we have today – a multitude of people scattered across the world speaking different languages.
So NASA claims that they've circumvented God's will and thus now have left their mark in the heavens to more than fulfil mankind's ancient dream. I quite doubt this. I believe that is a bogus claim and the rest of mankind is sorely fooled. God will never let us conquer the heavens because we are meant to have our domain only on earth. So all of you Christians, Jews and Moslems that believe NASA (along with all other space agencies) must not really believe in God. You can't believe in both.
