The Baby Diaper Secret – Sick Science! #017
If you’ve ever changed a diaper and noticed what looked like tiny crystals on the baby’s skin, you’ve uncovered the secret of superabsorbent, disposable diapers. It's a super absorbent polymer in diapers that is capable of absorbing up to 300 times their mass.

Hydrogel or Water gel
You don't even need the powder you can just use the lining of the diaper after you cut it in half.

this is what they use in films for fake snow (sometimes) this is usually done by pouring the water into the powder and it absorbs all the water and swells and it also goes cold so yeah im sure it does feel like snow π
