Orion Spacecraft Is Taking Shape on This Week @NASA
At Kennedy Space Center, NASA Administrator Charlie Bolden, Kennedy Center Director Bob Cabana and other officials invited the media to view prelaunch progress of the Orion spacecraft. Kennedy technicians recently attached Orion’s crew module to its service module — the first step in moving the spacecraft’s three primary elements, which includes the launch abort system, into the correct configuration for launch. Orion is being prepared for its first space flight in December – a four-and-a-half-hour uncrewed mission to test systems that will be critical for survival of astronauts on future deep space missions. Only if they can capture ice asteroid and never have to worry about water.
Great use of Our investments and what we could get in mining Asteroids! GO NASA! 8Dbd
hey my name is Shane and i really love space and im 10 years old and i really want to become a asternot' mind my spelling' and ya o and my dream is to be the first man on mars and i also know all about this new space craft 😀
What about built a Spaceship instead of a Spacecraft it look like Nasa went back to 60's…….
NASA and Orion is going nowhere because of a lack of leadership for at least ten years. NASA needs to double its budget and fund a strong energy source ! The US Navy lives and works near a strong energy source and can help NASA out. This energy source can power a Lunar Base to learn living off the land. And also power the VASIMR engine for fast and safer trips to Mars and beyond.
The NASA center in Ohio. the John Glenn Center has in its library collecting dust a powerfull rocket engine that can work in the deep gravity wells of the Earth, the Moon or Mars. This engine can power the 24 hour Lunar Schuttle (LEO to lunar orbit).
Also NASA must test Orion more than once every three years ! And test the Bigelow 330 Inflatable Module at the ISS. And bring back samples durning the Astroid mission and not just garbage.

***** Hi Guys! Great work, keep it up! I understand that theres a theoretical idea for a warp drive ship. I was wondering though, have you guys ever theorised about a "vaccum bubble" craft? I realise that its a vaccum in space, but I'm theorising that to travel my method would need some kind of "hyper-vaccum bubble"? Afterall, in a vaccum there is no resistance, right? Is this a viable idea? Thanks. 😀
