Graffiti Research Lab first introduced us to the awesome throwie idea, and we loved it. Ever since, we?ve been playing around with the idea of using light-emitting diodes (LED) and throwies as a great hands-on method to teaching science. You can do it, too, and we?ll show you how!

  1. LED is a Diote.. Which passes Electricity in one direction.. So we need to join the particular signs (+ or -) with the battery's points. we can easily find it out with the length of LED's points (One is longer than the other)..

  2. LED's have a certain leg for a certain charge. If you look closely at it's legs one is longer and the other is shorter. This is similar to how you put batteries in your XBOX controller or your TV remote. If you put the battery in correctly it works.
