Since we r going to mars so often nd will be sending humans , first nd foremost is the communication challenge back to earth , why not create an array of Sat’s ( circling each planet in btwn earth and mars ) which jumps signals fast for quicker decision making , this was the most problematic thing faced by the scientists with all the previous mars rovers .
