ESA’s active debris removal mission: e.Deorbit (with annotations)
ESA’s Clean Space initiative is studying an active debris removal mission called e.Deorbit, which will target an ESA-owned derelict satellite in low orbit, capture it, then safely burn it up in a controlled atmospheric reentry. e.Deorbit will be the world’s first active debris removal mission, and will provide an opportunity for European industries to showcase their technological capabilities to a global audience.

all I see is a shit load of nice spares being wasted. they should pile it all up in space for later scavenging in stead ..
i hope that all the rocket parts that are used to launch the deorbiter into space are burned up as well, otherwise you make the problem worse
like
hmm ill try this on ksp i think
2:16 Yes! ESA will have the ladership!!
esa.. if reading this..change error ladership
when are you currently planning to launch missions? how much are they expected to cost per launch and is there any reusability to lower costs?
It's a shame we can't drag them all some where to be stripped for parts , the amount of solar panels out in space must be huge.
Oh shit I want the man voice who normally narrates these vedios. this lady voice is shit.
