A few notes:
– We have previously covered some of these battles, but the videos have been outdated graphically and we wanted to present a more clear picture. More battles added, while the research is improved. There will be 2 more episodes covering the expansion of the early Muslim state, and these 2 videos will cover events in North Africa, Iran, Central Asia, Spain, France, and Anatolia among others.
– Most of the primary sources of this period are Muslim, but they are largely corroborated by the later Byzantine and Iranian sources.
– Speaking of the Byzantines. We used "Romans" and "Byzantines" interchangeably throughout the video. Some people will not like this, but the words are there to convey meaning and if the meaning is communicated, then we are doing ok.
– Chill.
