Did you spot the Northern Lights this weekend? π
Aurora made a rare appearance across both the Northern and Southern Hemisphere skies after Earth was hit by one of the strongest geomagnetic storms for years. The storm over the weekend was classed as the highest G5.
Donβt worry if you missed them, we are entering a βsolar maximumβ where the Sun becomes very active meaning more storms and a greater chance of seeing Aurora in more places.
Let us know if and where you saw them in the commentsπ

Say all the planets that have Auroras or Northern lights. We could probably see them on Mars
Wishing you the most perfect week ever ESA!
Of course it was cloudy. But you could see the shine through it here in Norway.
Love it.
We had a beautiful aurorae viewing-evening on friday night, 10th of Mayπ
Sadly we keep missing them. There is to much light here in the city, and of course hubby works third shift on the days they are out. Some day we hope to get out to where we can see them. The pictures are awesome but in person must be amazing
Nope

Yes, looked amazing!
I saw a pink one π
I saw a sky that looked hazier than usual and some light pollution. Hereβs hoping for another aurora when I can make it to darker skies wheeeee.
That is a beautiful natural phenomenon that I always like to see, thanks & God bless! <3 O:) * (Y)
