  1. And a very happy Winter/Summer Solstice (Christmas) and best wishes for a wonderful new year to all the crew of expedition 42!

I am not a church member, but I very much appreciate the warmth behind your greeting, Samantha.
    Best wishes from
    Margarita

  2. To you! <3 Sei un punto di riferimento per tutti gli Italiani, siamo orgogliosi di te e della crew, Buon Natale e Felice anno nuovo a te Anton, Terry, e gli altri colleghi spaziali <3

  3. I perfectly agree with you, but there is a little issue around that question. Nowadays i think religiuos fest are considered a sort of folk, a traditional event as well as a convenient way for most of people to take advantages about something. Eg. Consider how many persons stay at home from work, even if they don't believe. (other think is that theseevents are everyday more commercial than religious)
So it doesn't hurt me so much when an astronaut say Merry Christmas, but it hurts me a lot when a scientist says of religion or some kind of god to explain still unknown phenomema.

  4. When i see the ISS, i see how far technology and science have gone, how the human race in general has evolved through the ages. But i also see how this jewel of science could also work as an embassy, i mean, we have gone so far, we have conquered the moon, but still there is not a common sense of belonging to the same world, a common sense of fraternity

I hope one day America, Europe, Russia, and every single Nation or continent in the world will be able to cooperate even more than now, for the good of the humanity itself and for the good of scientific progression

I apologize for any grammatical error i could have made, and wish you the best
