Didn't knew that the big surviving member of the Umayyads escaped the relenthless Abbasid prosecution from Syria to Al-Andalus(Iberian Peninsula) that eventually led to the Emirate of Cordoba. This is the battle that links the events in the Iberian peninsula too and somehow there's no mention even of the Umayyads falling from grace ever. Just skip centuries later in the reconquista and its now the Emirate of Cordoba. Thanks for making the link that western schools refuse to speak about
Abbasid= Persians …..ummayad= Arabs. The Persians finally had their revenge on the Arabs and arabized population of levant 😃
Will you be able to do the rise of the Ummayads ? I always found them interesting in regard to culture , art and the experiments of Islamic art and architecture ? Arabic christians and Muslims first realm together and until even now .
