  1. The way the Stanleys used their weight on the battlefield to actually prevent bloodshed is a tactic i studied greatly. By staying "neutral", Stanley kept the majority of the Yorks unable to manueaver properly without risking a decisive counterattack that would immediately end the battle. Stanley ftw.

  2. Of course the historical documentary series The Black Adder does postulate that the events at the Battle of Bosworth were subsequently altered by Henry VII and in fact it was Richard III who won the battle but was killed at the moment of victory (rumours that his great nephew, Prince Edmund "Blackadder" killed him are unsubstantiated).
Richard III's nephew became King Richard IV of England and ruled for a number of years when his entire court were tragically poisoned.

  3. Yorkshire! Sad day for us though! Richard III and Edward IV were both very brave and good fighters, but they were very bad at diplomacy. The Princes in the Tower are still a mystery. Shakespeare published so much anti-Yorkist propaganda in his time, it’s a real shame!

  4. People can criticize Richard III for his conniving, weak willed character regarding the fate of the princes of the tower and how he grabbed power. But he died fighting like a true king.
