🚩 Heraclius’ campaigns are an example of an indirect approach to war strategy. And although his gains would be swiftly lost in the wake of the Muslim Conquest, the method by which they were achieved would remain a point of pride in Byzantine military history.

Damn, Heraclius was a BOSS! We always hear of the Byzzies losing Egypt, Judea, Syria and Iraq to the Caliphate, but this video's content is something altogether.
14:10 One of the reasons for the desecration was because of the Persian campaign of 614, when they sieged Jerusalem and took away the True Cross
In the late antiquity, no one would have understood what the narrator talking about, since no one knew about Byzantine Empire, but knew only about Roman Empire.
They are Romans. Stop saying Byzantine
Amazing Stuff History Marche. You Rock.
I cringe everytime I hear him say "Byzantine". This is is historically illiterate to use this term, especially in this era when it was the Eastern Roman Empire holding all if its old territories. They never referred to themselves as Byzantines either, and their enemies also referred to them as Romans. Stop passing on this false name
Please more history for hannibal i m waiting for next part

The 1st crusade ? The Persians are Zoroastrians. Also these two Empire's fought each other on meaningless wars and the Arabs and later Turks would take it all.
