Carbon dioxide ocean–atmosphere exchange
Atmospheric carbon dioxide is the most important human-made greenhouse gas responsible for global warming. Oceans assist in removing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere: phytoplankton accumulate carbon dioxide through photosynthesis and their chlorophyll colours the ocean’s waters. Satellites use this colour to measure chlorophyll, which helps scientists to calculate how much carbon dioxide is absorbed or emitted.

The Antarctic has registered a temperature of more than 20C (68F) for the first time on record, prompting fears of climate instability in the world’s greatest repository of ice.
The 20.75C logged by Brazilian scientists at Seymour Island on 9 February was almost a full degree higher than the previous record of 19.8C, taken on Signy Island in January 1982.
To make the idea more palatable to the uninformed, the word geoengineering is struck from the project. Instead, the term being used is climate intervention. You see words matter when you are describing an experiment that could have unintended consequences such as altering wind and precipitation patterns thousands of kilometers away.
This isn’t the first time that wordsmithing has appeared in association with the climate crisis. The original term of global warming that first appeared in the 1970s, became climate change under the presidency of George W. Bush. Climate change could mean cooler or warmer. It didn’t sound quite as ominous as global warming and was acceptable to those who could use the term to make comments like “the climate is always changing.”
So here we are now with climate intervention as the new terminology to describe a very dangerous next step by a government led by a global warming denier in the White House.
This video was going nice until "climate modelers" were referred…why don´t they talk about the benefits of more CO2? Anyway there are much more CO2 dissolved in oceans than in atmosphere. That is why CO2 concentration follows global temperature. Anyway, does anyone have global sea temperature records from the last 1000years?
If there was no CO2 in the Earth"s atmosphere, what would the temperature of the Earth"s surface be? 6.5°C cooler than it is now. If the average temperature on Earth is 15°C now, then it would go down to 9.5°C. … Thus, without all greenhouse gases, it would be 33°C colder.

All we need to do is look at all the chalk (cliffs of Dover) and other similar mammoth deposits to see where all the carbon and other ocean-bourne minerals have gone.
Once CO2 enters the food chain it gets locked up in marine life skeletal cells as armour plating. That sequesters it permanently on ocean bottom everywhere. Sooner or later the oceans will stop green life on land and kill everything else that depends on it off.
"25% of our emissions are absorbed by the oceans". Without info about the time span in which this happens, the whole info is useless. There is a rate of release and a rate of absoption. Watch 15 sec and you can tell, this video is only for fools.
