First All-Woman Spacewalk on October 18
NASA astronauts Jessica Meir and Christina Koch are set to conduct the first spacewalk to be performed by two women on Friday, Oct. 18, 2019.
They will be replacing a faulty battery charge/discharge unit that failed to activate after a spacewalk Oct. 11. The faulty unit is preventing a set of recently installed batteries from providing increased power. It must be replaced before continuing a series of spacewalks to install new batteries.

WTF first thing i see is a bunch of people saying "who cares" half of you didn't even watch the video, it's not about genitals its about the fact that this hadn't happened before. Historically women have been put down at every corner, that's changed a lot in the past 100 years and that's something to be happy about this IS no matter how you look at it a HISTORICAL moment for women and for everyone. This is the culmination of years and years of hard work by many many women to fight for their place as equals, you may say "they're already equal so who cares" but that statement completely disregards the years of work it took for this event to happen. In the end it doesn't matter what you think because it IS history. P.S. So proud of these 2 women for coming this far in their careers i wish them the best of luck in their lives.
Hello there… This is the gratist achievement of the 21st century to date in human exportation of space. I think the next big achievement will be landing the first woman on the Moon to be accompanied by a man. The Artemis Generation we are apart of. I feel that these two achievements will be the greatest human space exploration in the early 21st. Century. I also feel that women are not getting the credit they deserve. Most of the media has not reported fairly n down playing it as unaventful. I am very proud of the women and I look forward to seeing more respectful acnolagment from the media. I have the gratist confidence in the women of the space program to achieve gratness. It's time to give them credit for their sacrifices n contrabutions . So let me guess … full fish format spacewalks are now the preferred norm, and the US taxpayer can just like or lump EVAs that are half as effective, take twice as long, require new and ridiculously expensive suits that are (hilariously ironically) smaller, and therefore EVAs in general cost even more than they normally do by every measure possible?
