Hey & Hi again Tre'eSpire, you're everywhere and you're funny too!! All the very Best of regards to you, from Tobbe in Sweden!
Wont we have a lot of junk flying around up there with these cell phone cubey things?
dreamchaser FTW
They were not high enough to remain in orbit for a long time. There is still a little bit of atmosphere up there (at around 260km) which will slow them down and they will burn up after a while. Even the ISS needs a re-boost from time to time so it can stay in orbit and it is at around 400km in altitude.
Wow, you guys waste so much money. shut down NASA, save the money for what we need it for. Not looking for little green men that do not exist, but to rebuild our country for the future!
Phonesats remind me of that Doctor Who episode with the black cubes that are found all over Earth.
NASA is not only about space technology, it's also about providing technology for our planet. Not the "country" you speak of. NASA is doing nothing but researching for the future.
Seems to me that the innovation is coming from private sector now. So NASA is redundant. Also, we do not just hand over technology to other country's. Also China is far ahead of us, however, they also have excess money, we do not.
Just because the private sector is doing something innovative doesn't mean NASA is not necessary. Also, a lot of businesses in the private sector are using time and resources on making profit through consumerism, and couldn't care less about the "country" or the planet for that sake.
Secondly, why do you think in terms of competition between countries? NASA is one of the organizations that are moving on from that. We know better than countries. We're a planet, and we should work together.
