I feel the dictionary you use is a bit atrocious: how is it, that Bulgars, who came to the Balkans from the Great Steppe, were somehow "reconquering" the Balkan lands, that were up to the 550 part of the Roman Empire for the same time? It was Byzantines, i.e. Eastern Romans that were reconquering their lands from the hands of Slavs and the nomad colonizers.
11:01 you are joking right

Wow very Informative and also inspiring video! I will illustrate this whole battle in my Basil II comic.
I appreciate the light you guys are shedding on Bulgarian History. I would advice not to try and attach each Bulgarian ruler to a specific clan. I saw under Petar I you put Krum. There is no primary source stating what clan Krum belongs to,.Many suggest its Dulo but other suggest that the Dulo theory is only there to glorify the founding dynasty.
That is the problem of the bulgarians, they always want peace, Simeon should have slaughtered all the Romans. Apparently, that's how it's done What a peace for 40 years???
Here you get the opposite do good and finally get …
Great video!
