🚩 The Crimean War was the result of Russian demands to exercise protection over the Orthodox subjects of the Ottoman sultan. Another cause was a dispute between Russia and France over the privileges of the Russian Orthodox and Roman Catholic churches in Palestine. More broadly, struggles between the great powers in the Middle East led to war. The Crimean War produced about 500,000 total casualties, with about half suffered by each side. A disproportionate number of deaths were caused by disease.

🚩 We apologies for errors in the video. Namely, Catalonia being part of France and not swapping the banner of Nicholas I with Alexander II. In hindsight both of these seem like no-brainers, but we somehow failed to notice them.

England screwed everyone in this deal, Spain cause they didn’t declare war on the US in the Spanish war, and screwed Austria, ottomans and Sweden. So the GB showed it’s first blunder in getting involved in foreign affairs that it shouldn’t of involved itself in.
Why didn't Canada invade Alaska?
I'm not sure if this map makes sense honestly. Why exactly is Catalonia French, or why are Tuscany and Romanian principalities Austrian?
Yeah, everyone turned their eyes on poor ottoman empire. And no one was bothered by colonial policy of European powers… It's hypocrisy.
Discussing the conclusions in a different scene was a very nice touch. It allowed me to focus more on the concepts at hand, rather than still staring at the map 😀
Why? Because Putin was not around 🤧
You do realize that by repeatedly calling for "sacrifices to the algorythm", you will inevitably cause its ascent into a godlike sentient AI and provoke the doom of humanity right ?
Wow, I can't see any "Ukrainian" forces fighting for their peninsula
It's always against Russia.. isn't it?
